ASE Certification
Our technicians are highly skilled and knowledgeable, and they take pride in their work and achievements. De Pere Auto Center employs qualified ASE-certified technicians. ASE Certification takes the guesswork out of identifying an experienced and knowledgeable auto repair facility. The independent, non-profit National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) was established in 1972 to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the voluntary testing and certification of auto technicians and other automotive service professionals. With ASE Certification you can be assured of the skills and knowledge of our individual technicians and our high standards and commitment to providing quality diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of your vehicle.
The ASE examinations are administered by American College Testing (ACT), a nonprofit corporation engaged in test development and administration. These comprehensive exams are industry-driven and grouped into specialties that cover virtually every vehicle service segment. They are used to evaluate knowledge of job-related skills. ASE-certification consists of passing at least one specialty test and documenting two years of relevant work experience. Prior to taking ASE exams, our technicians attend training classes and put in hours of study and practice to prepare. They are retested every five years to maintain ASE certification as technology and techniques in the automotive repair industry change and improve.
